Who Teaches These Kids?

  • You do. A certified, All-American teacher
  • Sometimes, a very enthusiastic parent.

Do I Need Any Special Training?

  • Nope

If you have the threshold I.Q. of a dyslexic gerbil, you can teach this stuff by simply following the written instructions.

The bottom line is that we rely heavily on the fact that you are a college graduate, have experience teaching children, like science, and won't fail an impromptu drug test during your class time. If you just went four for four on our thumbnail profile, you are good to go.

What Does It Cost Me to Participate?

  • Time to learn the activities.
  • Couple of bucks copying flyers.

What Do I Have to Prepare?

Yourself and anything perishable. We provide everything else: the books, kits, and the instructional help via the website or a friendly phone call. You do not have to chase around looking for materials or copying lessons. This is crack-it-open-and-teach science! All you have to do is follow the labs in the book.

Anything for the School?

• Use of the Lab Activities in the Classroom
Once the program has been presented you will receive, with your Lab Loot, a copyright release to incorporate any of the labs from the class into the school curriculum as you see fit. That's over 300 free labs!

• In House, Science Resource Specialist
The cool thing is that we don't just drop the labs in your lap and bail out, we also provide you with a science resource specialist—the teacher who has been teaching LabRats. Guaranteed, someone takes the time to learn and then present all of the classes that we have prepared, you will have a bonafide science specialist or specialists on your staff at absolutely no expense to the school or the district. That is probably the greatest benefit of the program.

• Educational Day Care
No time for video games when you are polymerizing compounds, identifying the pH of a substance, or determining the velocity of that homemade rocket headed toward the faculty parking lot.

• Enthusiastic, Re-Energized Faculty
A couple of extra nickels in the pocket of any teacher will boost morale.
